Getting connected abroad has never been simpler. Here is everything you need to know about setting up and using your eConnect eSIM.

Choose Your Plan

Browse our plans by region or destination. Consider your trip length and typical data usage. Streaming video uses approximately 1GB per hour. Social media and messaging uses roughly 150MB per day. Navigation and browsing uses approximately 200MB per day.

💡 If you are unsure which plan to choose, select the next tier up — unused data is always better than running out mid-trip. Or ask Alex in the chat for a personalized recommendation.

Install Your eSIM

After completing your purchase you will receive a confirmation email containing your QR code and installation instructions. To install on iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Use QR Code → scan the code. On Android: Settings → Connections → SIM Manager → Add eSIM → scan QR code.

💡 We strongly recommend installing your eSIM at home on a stable WiFi connection before your trip — not at the airport.

Connect at Your Destination

When you arrive your eSIM detects the local network automatically and connects. No settings to change, no calls to make. Open your phone and you are online. Your plan validity begins from the moment of first connection.

Not supported: Carrier-locked devices, iPhone models below XS, and some older prepaid handsets. To check if your device is compatible go to Settings → Cellular (iPhone) or Settings → Connections → SIM Manager (Android) and look for an Add eSIM option. If it is there your device is compatible.

Set up your eSIM at home on a stable WiFi connection. This takes the pressure off airport or hotel setups and ensures you are connected the moment you land.

Your eConnect eSIM works alongside your regular SIM. You keep your home number for calls while using eConnect for data abroad — no need to choose between them.

Monitor your data usage

Most smartphones show live data usage under Settings → Mobile/Cellular → eConnect. Check this during your trip to avoid running out unexpectedly.
